Construction of the Burj Khalifa commenced in 2004, with the exterior completed in 2009. The design was led by Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the architectural firm responsible for the design of the Sears Tower in Chicago, which previously held the record for the world's tallest building.
The Burj Khalifa has achieved multiple world records, including the world's highest elevator installation, the tallest structure containing residential spaces, the highest New Year’s fireworks display, and the highest restaurant in the world, among others.

The Top Burj Khalifa Sunrise with The Morning Treat is operational exclusively on weekends commencing from October 28, 2023.
